Dear Families of St. Theresa Catholic Parish,
The past week has brought with it much turmoil, chaos, and fear. In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey we witness what kind of destruction water can bring to a city, a neighborhood, a family, a person. However, we have also seen stranger rescuing stranger, neighbors comforting each other, families working together, and our parish community stepping up to provide for those that lost everything. Jesus said, “Take courage, it is I, do not be afraid (Mk 6:50).” Amidst the many tragedies, we have received that reassurance very vividly these past few days.
We know that many of you have lost much, if not everything. We are here to help you now and in the hard times to come. We also want to help you and your family regain some sense of normalcy in your lives. Recognizing that each family’s situation is unique, please know that we are beginning Faith Formation as scheduled for all grades here at St. Theresa’s:
- Pre-3 through K: Sunday, September 10th at 10:00am
- Elementary: Monday & Tuesday, September 11th & 12th at 4:30pm & 6:45pm
- Middle School: Monday & Tuesday, September 11th & 12th from 6:45pm – 8:00pm
- High School: Saturday, September 9th from 9am – 6pm (Parents should plan to attend if possible)
We understand that some may need additional time; just keep us informed about your particular situation. Again, please let us know if there is anything we can do to help you, or anyone you know in the wake of this storm.
