Acts of the Apostles 20-Week Bible Study Begins

Join us on Thursdays at 7pm for a journey through the Acts of the Apostles using Ascension Press’ Acts: The Spread of the Kingdom study program.
Step Three in The Great Adventure Bible Study Program, Acts: The Spread of the Kingdom, builds on The Bible Timeline and Matthew by showing how Christ’s Kingdom on earth is empowered to carry out his work in the world. The book of Acts shows the Church, enlivened by the Holy Spirit, teaching, preaching, healing, and restoring outcasts in the same way that Jesus did on earth.
The Acts of the Apostles provides an historic framework for understanding the rest of the New Testament. Paul’s letters in particular come alive in a new way when they are read within the context of the Acts narrative.
The study will be 20 weeks in total, with breaks for the holidays. There is a $30 fee for the study materials, and couples can share workbooks. Childcare is available with two weeks’ notice by contacting childcare@sugarlandcatholic.com. Each Thursday session will meet in the Community Center at 7pm.
