Blessing of Wine

All are invited to bring a bottle (or more!) of wine to be blessed at the 8:30 a.m. Mass on Thursday the 27th for a special blessing in honor of the Feast of St. John the Evangelist. Please make sure the bottle is labeled with your name. This annual blessing is done in recognition of Saint John, who tradition holds was once given a cup of poisoned wine to drink. Before drinking, he blessed the cup and the poison departed the cup in the form of a serpent.
