Coping with Grief Through the Holidays

Holidays and holy days are times to gather with family & friends. If you have suffered the loss of a loved one, the holidays can be filled with sorrow and grief. You may feel as though everyone has joy but you. Grief can be raw during the holidays.

Join the Grief Support Ministry for a two-hour session: Tuesday, December 12, 2017, 6:30 p.m. Ave Maria Center St. Laurence Catholic Church 3100 Sweetwater Blvd. Sugar Land, TX 77498.

We will feature video interviews with specialists in grief counseling who will offer tools in dealing with expectations of family and friends during these most difficult times. We will share experiences in navigating the first year, as well as subsequent years, following the death of a loved one. All are welcome to bring a friend or refer a relative, friend or co-worker who might be experiencing the pain of grief. These sessions are free and are open to everyone, Catholic or non-Catholic. The session will be held at the St. Laurence Ave Maria Center.
